This trauma recovery program is unique in its approach by providing:
We incorporate sound healing and somatic experiences in a bottom-up approach to healing.
Book a private session instead. 1 hr - $150, 90min - $200. Held at a therapeutic space in Greenville and via Zoom.
The Trauma Recovery program was created to give trauma survivors and those going through major life transitions a safe place to heal within a supportive community. Think of it as a support group for fellow survivors who can relate to what you're experiencing. Group sessions are led by Trauma Recovery coaches who have used these very methods on themselves to heal! Because healing happens in the body's time, the pace of each session is designed to match the body's pace which is slower than the thinking brain. Sessions are part experiential and part educational. You will experience things like sound healing, somatic exercises, guided meditation, flow activities, journaling, and art therapy. You will learn some basic terminology, gain an understanding of how trauma affects the body, and learn coping skills- because healing doesn't happen overnight. You'll learn methods for grounding, centering and soothing, how to haven, and best ways to integrate these things into your life. The goal? For you to have easier days and more of them. The more you heal, the less you're coping- and the less you're needing to use coping skills.

Sound therapy is effective because our bodies are not solid, but rhythmic and harmonic. Sounds have vibrations that affect us on a neurological, physiological, and biochemical level.
One instrument used for sound healing is tuning forks. Due to its rich resonance and vibration that connects and supports our natural frequencies in the body, it helps us heal. Other tools used could be gongs, himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, chimes, or drums.
Sound healing can be intense and bring up strong emotions. You may find yourself feeling happy, angry, sad or upset. It can be quite cathartic.
Engage with nature and create beautiful mosaic artwork as part of a therapeutic process. This fall class combines grounding, earthing, meditation, a new appreciation of nature and art therapy.
