The clinical approach involves diagnosing and treating symptoms, employing top-down processing when treating a patient. Our program is open to anyone who feels stress and/or trauma is affecting their life and is interested in a holistic approach. (Estimated 80% of people have experienced trauma.) We don't diagnose or treat patients. We provide an environment conducive for individuals to sense and self heal. We employ a bottom-up approach which is when sensory receptors pick up signals for the brain to integrate and process. Bottom-up processing is direct experiences happening in the now. Examples are sound healing, art therapy and somatic movement. Examples of top-down processing that clinical psychologists may employ are CBT, ACT and DBT.
